MANILA, Philippines – The Court of Appeals has dismissed the petition filed by detained former Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr., upholding the validity of the search warrants that led to the filing of charges for illegal possession of firearms and explosives against him. In a 32-page decision promulgated April 8, 2026, and penned by Associate Justice Apolinario Bruselas, Jr., the court found no grave abuse of discretion in the orders issued by Manila Regional Trial Court Judge Renato Enciso, which had previously sustained the legality of the search.
