SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – The local government of Masinloc town has urged village officials to suspend or scale down fiesta-related activities and non-essential programs, as municipal officials seek to redirect public funds toward basic social services amid economic challenges. In a memorandum issued by Mayor Hazel Lim, barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials were enjoined to voluntarily suspend or scale-down fiesta-related programs and activities, as well as non-essential travels, seminars and similar undertakings due to the impact of the global fuel crisis on local communities.
