If you feel that subscriptions to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass platform have gotten far too expensive, you aren’t alone. According to a leaked memo via The Verge , Xbox CEO Asha Sharma admitted that Xbox Game Pass has become “too expensive” for gamers. In the memo, Sharma writes that the short-term plan for the service is a “better value equation” that reestablishes the worth of Xbox Game Pass, which is “central to gaming value on Xbox.” Microsoft Meanwhile, the long-term plan is to evolve Xbox Game Pass into a “more flexible system.” Exactly what that means wasn’t explained. Back in October, Microsoft introduced major changes and a staggering 50% price increase for Xbox Game Pass . As of this writing, Game Pass is available in three tiers: Essential for $9.99/month, Premium for $14.99/month, and Ultimate for $29.99/month. They all support Xbox and PC, but differ in the number of games you can cloud stream and the quality you can stream in.
