P1M worth of jewelry, cash stolen after thieves tunnel into Pasay shop

MANILA, Philippines — An unidentified number of burglars stole P1-million worth of jewelry and P90,000 in cash from a pawn shop in Pasay City after entering the establishment by boring a hole through its floor, the police said. Investigators discovered a hole stretching about 10 meters from a canal under Libertad Street to the pawn shop, Pasay police chief Col. Joselito de Sesto said in an interview on DZMM on Tuesday.
