"The 2026 edition of the Latin American Aerospace and Defence (LAAD) kicked off on Tuesday at the Transamerica Exhibition Centre in Sao Paulo, consolidating itself as the largest gathering of the defence and security industry on the continent. Footage shows a range of weapons, military and police units, along with technological solutionstailored for government agencies and the corporate security sector. Jackey Xu, manager of Xing Technology, a company dedicated to the production of fibres and materials used in the defence field, highlighted the importance of bringing its products to the Latin American market. "We also have corresponding stab-resistant materials, which are also made from our fibre raw materials. For example, it is something that everyone can easily use to protect the lives of police officers and law enforcement. We hope that this type of material, in the future, can protect the lives of all police officers and soldiers in Latin America," he said. The exhibition brings together national and international companies presenting technologies, equipment and services aimed at police forces, special forces, armed forces and security agencies in Brazil and Latin America. The event serves as a strategic showcase for the industry and has institutional support from the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security of Brazil. The organisers expect the participation of around 18,000 professionals, including 50 official foreign delegations, from April 14 to 16."
