'The heart refuses to believe' - Funeral held in Katzrin for Israeli reservist killed in Lebanon accident

"On Tuesday, a funeral was held in the northern Israeli town of Katzrin for an amry reservist killed in southern Lebanon in what the IDF described as an operational accident. The footage shows Bianco's funeral, held at the local cemetery in his hometown, attended by family members, fellow soldiers, local residents and officials. "How do you say goodbye to a friend who is no longer just a family friend? He is my brother. How do you speak about you in the past tense when you are still so alive within me, so alive within all of us?," a close friend of the deceased remarked to mourners. Reservist Sergeant Major Eyal Uriel Bianco, 30, was killed in what the Israel Defence Forces described as an operational accident during a patrol in Southern Lebanon. Initial findings indicated that the military vehicle carrying Bianco and several other soldiers overturned. The incident also left three other reservists wounded. One soldier sustained moderate injuries, while two others were lightly hurt and evacuated to hospital for treatment. Israeli military operations in Lebanon continue, with Tel Aviv stating they target Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure. This comes despite a ceasefire agreement between the United States and Israel on one hand, and Iran on the other, which took effect last Wednesday. Iran maintains that the agreement includes a cessation of attacks on Lebanon, but Israel rejects this position, insisting that the Lebanese front is separate from the existing arrangements. On Sunday, Iranian-American talks in Islamabad ended without an agreement or announcement of further negotiation rounds, deepening uncertainty over the prospects for de-escalation. It comes after diplomats from Israel and Lebanon met, together with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in Washington on Tuesday, marking the first time the two countries have engaged in direct talks in more than three decades."
