Vedanta Power announces Rs 35 lakh compensation, job support for families of deceased in Chhattisgarh boiler blast

A tragic boiler blast at Vedanta Power's Singhitarai plant in Chhattisgarh's Sakti district claimed nine lives and injured fifteen. Vedanta Power is providing Rs 35 lakh and employment support to the deceased's families, and Rs 15 lakh with salary continuation to the injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced ex-gratia payments from the PM National Relief Fund.
