MANILA – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced the penalties meted out to drivers involved in traffic violations that went viral on social media. In a news release on Wednesday, April 15, LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Marcus Lacanilao said that the LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) set the penalties. They based these on show-cause orders issued in February and March. “Penalties include driver’s license suspension, revocation, and disqualification, for violations such as road rage, reckless driving, hit-and-run, and other significant threats to public safety.
