MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) will increase its deployment of police officers at the gas stations participating in the P10-per-liter fuel subsidy program. “It is part of our mandate to ensure the safe, swift, and orderly implementation of subsidy programs and to prevent scams or fraudulent activities that may only burden our kababayan,” PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a statement on Wednesday.
