Pakistan diaspora leadership dialogue on remittances & RDA held

WASHINGTON: The Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Pakistan, and the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C. jointly hosted an event showcasing Pakistan’s flagship Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative. The event highlighted key achievements under the Roshan Digital value proposition, introduced recent enhancements, and formally launched the Roshan Digital Business Account and Roshan Digital Individual Account for foreign nationals—a platform designed to attract overseas investment into Pakistan. Members of the Pakistani diaspora in Washington, D.C. attended the session in strength. The event was addressed by national leadership, including Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue Government of Pakistan as Chief Guest, Jameel Ahmad, Governor – State Bank of Pakistan, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, and Zafar Masud, Chairman Pakistan Banks Association. Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized the powerful value proposition of the Roshan Digital initiative that has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2020. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to steer the economy from stability to sustainable growth for the country. Presidents and CEOs of leading commercial banks, along with senior representatives of the Pakistan Banks Association, joined the event virtually. The event ended with a Q&A session.
