Oil prices unlikely to return to pre-war levels - study

MANILA, Philippines — Oil prices are expected to stay high even if the fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran holds. This could keep inflation elevated and continue to affect stock markets. In a report shared through DBS Bank, First Metro Securities Brokerage Corp. said oil prices are unlikely to return to their pre-conflict levels. It pointed to lasting disruptions in global oil supply chains and ongoing risks from geopolitical tensions. The report said oil may now settle in a higher range of about $80 to $90 per barrel.
