However, when blood sugar levels remain excessively high over time, insulin function gradually declines, reducing the body’s ability to regulate glucose. This can eventually lead to chronic conditions such as diabetes. Maintaining blood sugar within a stable, healthy range is therefore essential. A recent study suggests that regularly consuming red wine vinegar may help prevent sharp spikes in blood sugar and support more stable glucose control. According to a study conducted by researchers at Arizona State University and published in the journal Food & Function, participants who consumed red wine vinegar for eight weeks experienced significant reductions in fasting blood glucose and insulin levels. Insulin resistance decreased by approximately 8.3 percent in the experimental group, while it increased by 9.7 percent in the control group.
