Tehran talks - Pakistan army chief Munir meets Araghchi to push fresh Iran negotiations

"Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held talks in Tehran on Wednesday with Pakistan's army chief, Asim Munir, as Islamabad stepped up efforts to revive US-Iran talks after last week's negotiations ended without a breakthrough. Footage shows the two officials meeting alongside senior delegations from both sides. Munir arrived earlier in Tehran, leading a high-level delegation that included Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, with Pakistan saying the visit was part of ongoing diplomatic and mediation efforts.  Iranian media said the delegation was expected to discuss preparations for a possible second round of talks in Islamabad in the coming days. It comes during a delicate two-week ceasefire, which began on April 8 and is set to expire on April 22. Pakistan played a mediator role in the first round of negotiations, which were held in Islamabad and remains one of the few channels still trusted enough by both sides to shuttle messages.  Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Islamabad had spoken with the Americans, heard Tehran's position and would now discuss both sides' views in detail during the visit."
