The Pakistan Navy on Thursday successfully conducted a live firing of an indigenously developed ship-launched anti-ship ballistic missile, demonstrating its precision strike capability, according to the Director General Public Relations (Navy). The missile accurately hit its target at high speed and extended range, underscoring the navy’s operational readiness and technological advancement. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with leading scientists and engineers, witnessed the test. According to the official statement, the missile is equipped with an advanced guidance system and enhanced manoeuvrability, enabling it to evade threats, adapt to dynamic operational conditions, and deliver with precision and lethality. The successful test reflects Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maintaining credible sea-based deterrence and ensuring maritime security and stability in the region, the DGPR (Navy) said. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir and the services chiefs congratulated the participating units and scientists on the achievement.
