MANILA, Philippines — A Quezon City court has sentenced a mother to imprisonment after she admitted guilt for selling her own child. In a three-page judgment, the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, Branch 94, affirmed the accused’s plea of guilty to a lesser offense of violating Section 10(a) of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
