Byreddy Shabari of the Telugu Desam Party backed the women’s quota bills in the Lok Sabha, saying they mark a shift from women’s development to women-led development and will enable greater leadership roles. Other NDA allies, including Janata Dal (United), also supported the legislation, emphasising women’s role in achieving Viksit Bharat, even as opposition parties protested and termed the bills anti-constitutional.
