Explosion and gunfire at same Brussels property: mayor seeks help from Interior Minister

The mayor of the Brussels borough of Sint-Gillis, Jean Spinette (PS), is seeking the assistance of Belgian Interior Minister Bernard Quintin (Francophone liberal MR). Last night, yet another explosion occurred at a property on the Bosniëstraat in the borough. Ten cars were damaged in the incident. According to the mayor, this is drug-related violence between dealers. “And this must stop immediately to ensure the safety of our residents,” he says.
