COTABATO CITY – Police authorities in Maguindanao del Sur province arrested two women in possession of assault rifles during a checkpoint operation in Talayan town on Thursday afternoon, April 16. Colonel Michael John Mangahis, Maguindanao del Sur police director, said the two women were on board a sports utility vehicle when subjected to inspection at about 1 p.m. along the national highway. Mangahis said that during plain view inspection, police noticed a rifle beside the front seat of the vehicle. Another rifle was found at the back seat.
