ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has again revised values of immovable properties in Islamabad to remove anomalies in valuation of different sectors of the federal capital. According to an SRO 644(I)2026 issued on Thursday, the FBR has redetermined the fair market values of immovable properties in Islamabad. The value of residential and commercial superstructure shall be Rs 2500 per square foot if the superstructure is up to five years old; and Rs 1200 per square foot if the superstructure is more than five years old. The valuation of Rural Areas of Islamabad Capital Territory shall be taken as notified by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue)/ District Collector Islamabad. In case of conflict in rates of a particular area the higher of the two values shall apply, FBR added. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
