A GB News clash descended into chaos last night as a debate over Donald Trump's action in Iran turned into a vicious row over Margaret Thatcher. As the panel discussed the topic of Britain's energy security, former Thatcher aide Nile Gardiner said the UK should use its military to aid the US in reopening the Strait of Hormuz. He then said the British Government refused to intervene in the Iran war "because it's a bunch of cowardly appeasers" - before turning his fire on political commentator Jonathan Lis. "The British Government does not lift a finger because it's a bunch of cowardly appeasers - actually, appeasing this monstrously evil Iranian regime. "Just like yourself, Jonathan, actually," he added. Mr Lis then invoked the former PM, claiming she would be "ashamed" of Mr Gardiner for "disregarding international law". Mr Gardiner said Mrs Thatcher would view him as a "weak-kneed appeaser" - sparking a minutes-long war of words which saw Donald Trump branded a "maniac", Mr Gardiner a "warmonger", and left Mr Lis holding his head in his hands...
