MANILA, Philippines — Tollway operators have waived toll fees for trucks carrying agricultural products for one month starting April 20, a move that could help temper food prices the Department of Agriculture (DA) said. Based on the agency’s estimates, transport expenses can add between P2 and P5 per kilogram to retail food prices. The DA said waived toll fees could generate over P100 million in savings for haulers.
