A Bengaluru court has handed down life sentences to Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni and sixteen others. They were convicted in the 2016 murder of BJP leader Yogeshgouda Goudar. The CBI had named Kulkarni as the main conspirator in the case. Hired assailants attacked Goudar at his gym. Kulkarni's bail was cancelled previously due to witness tampering allegations.
