LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Energy Faisal Ayub Khokhar on Friday inaugurated the three-day international exhibition “Solar Pakistan 2026” at Expo Centre in the provincial capital. The exhibition will continue from April 17 to April 19, bringing together leading companies and experts from the global energy sector. More than 400 companies from 10 different countries are participating in the exhibition, showcasing the latest solar energy technologies, products, and solutions. Following the inauguration, the Provincial Minister visited various stalls and expressed keen interest in the innovative technologies on display. Speaking on the occasion, Khokhar stated that Punjab is hosting Pakistan’s largest solar exhibition, with the participation of some of the world’s leading multinational companies. He emphasized that the event provides a valuable platform to bring consumers and industry stakeholders together which is a significant step toward the growth of the energy sector. He said Pakistan is currently facing increasing energy demands, and in this context, clean and sustainable energy is the way forward. He noted that Punjab has immense potential for solar energy, which will be fully utilized. The minister added that “Solar Pakistan 2026” will play a key role in promoting modern, affordable, and alternative energy solutions. He also shared that the government is working on introducing consumer protection laws to ensure better safeguards for consumers. The minister thanked the organizers of “Solar Pakistan” and all stakeholders, expressing hope that the exhibition will prove to be a milestone in promoting renewable energy in Pakistan. The inauguration ceremony was attended by CEO of Fakt Exhibitions, Saleem Khan Tanoli, Mian Adil Mahmood, prominent figure from solar industry, businessmen, professionals and experts form energy sector.
