Local furniture atelier Gentleehome continues to underscore its unique artistry and craftsmanship with the release of its newest collection, the Burnt Collection. Launched last April 15 at its atelier at The Podium, the brand's newest collection was inspired by the word “sibol,” which means “to emerge” or “to rise.” “It speaks about growth, but not the usual kind of growth, not the natural kind of growth. It's a growth through pressure, about transformation through challenge,” the furniture atelier's founder Katrina Blanca De Leon explained. While most try to stay far away from fire when working with wood, the furniture brand's newest collection intentionally worked with it to create a uniquely processed piece that showcased the material's natural color and grains.
