DOH gives hygiene kits to residents affected by Navotas landfill fire

OBANDO, Bulacan — Health Sec. Teodoro Herbosa visited on Friday (April 17) the families affected by smoke from the fire at the Navotas Sanitary Landfill in Navotas City. Herbosa told 335 residents in the island barangay of Salambao in Obando, Bulacan that they will be given health assessments and blood tests to determine possible exposure to toxic substances. The team from the Department of Health also held medical consultations for evacuees and distributed hygiene kits, vitamins, medicines and N95 masks.
