MANILA, Philippines — The United States plans to establish a high-tech manufacturing zone in the Philippines as part of efforts to reduce reliance on China-dominated supply chains, under a newly signed agreement covering a site in Luzon. The proposed hub, spanning around 4,000 acres, will be developed as a special economic zone operated by the U.S. and designed to support industries such as advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence.
