"Investigators in Naples descended into an underground tunnel system on Saturday as part of the investigation into a bank robbery in which three armed suspects escaped through a subterranean route in the Vomero district. Police and forensic teams were deployed to Piazza Medaglie d’Oro, where officers entered manholes and sewer passages to reconstruct the escape route used after the incident at a Credit Agricole branch. Footage from the scene shows investigators lowering equipment into the underground network, securing ropes, and carefully descending into the tunnel system while documenting the area and preparing technical gear. Police were called to the scene after the robbers reportedly took up to 25 people hostage in the Credit Agricole bank on Thursday. The suspects fled through a hole in the floor inside the bank. All hostages were freed and no serious injuries were reported."
