"The foreign ministers of Russia and Algeria, Sergei Lavrov and Ahmed Attaf, held talks on the sidelines of Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026) on Saturday. Footage shows the diplomats posing for a joint photograph and exchanging words at the negotiating table. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s press service, the parties discussed the strengthening of their strategic partnership and exchanged views on key issues on the global and regional agenda. Particular attention was paid to the situation in the Middle East, the Sahel-Sahara region, and the Maghreb. They reaffirmed their readiness for further coordination to resolve conflicts through political and diplomatic means, based on international law and the UN Charter. The Antalya Diplomacy Forum, organised by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, is set to run from April 17 to 19 under the theme 'Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties'. The event is expected to draw around 5,000 participants from more than 150 countries, including over 20 heads of state and government as well as foreign ministers and other officials."
