CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The city government unit on Sunday advised residents to take precautions against heat-related illnesses after the heat index reached 40 degrees Celsius late in the morning. The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) said the “extreme caution” heat index level was recorded at 11 a.m. at the Calapan City Public Market monitoring station.
