TACLOBAN CITY— A 55-year-old American national was arrested Saturday morning for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 7610, otherwise known as the “Special Protection of Children against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.” Authorities also rescued three minor girls from a lodging establishment in Barangay Libertad, Higatangan Island in Naval, Biliran. Police identified the suspect as alias “Mike,” who was apprehended around 9 a.m. at Ewort’s Home Stay following a complaint from the minors’ relatives.
