"Hundreds of supporters from the nationalist group Britain First rallied in Manchester on Saturday against Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government migration policies, as calls intensified for the mass deportation of illegal immigrants. Footage shows police clashing and blocking counter-protesters as the Britain First rally passed through the city centre. Members are seen waving St George's flags and a banner reading 'For England' as they chanted slogans against Starmer's government. "Things have gone massively down under Labour's leadership, and it's not just for the people on the breadline, it's people right across the board [...] everyone's suffering financially since Keir Starmer came in," said one member. Another member called out the government's failure to stop unregulated migration, citing '40,000' illegal migrants who entered the country on small boats last year without being vetted, contributing to the rising cost of living. "He's just the weakest man who’s the most hated Prime Minister, doesn't matter if you're Conservative or Labour, he is the most hated Prime Minister there's ever been on both sides," he added. According to reports, Manchester police arrested three people during the Britain First march, where hundreds of members clashed with anti-racism counter-protesters. Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham, in a statement, said, "There is no place in Greater Manchester for anyone coming here to sow division and incite fear, hatred, or violence.” The event follows a 'March for Remigration' held earlier in February, which led to a standoff in Manchester city centre. The February rally featured physical clashes with police making nine arrests for offences such as assaulting emergency workers and breaching peace notices."
