Popemobile moment - Believers line Luanda's streets as Pope Leo XIV rolls through grand welcome

"Pope Leo XIV touched down in the Angolan capital of Luanda on Saturday, where he was welcomed by large crowds as he began the third leg of his Africa tour. Footage shows the papal aircraft arriving at Luanda International Airport, where the Pope was received by President Joao Lourenco, senior government officials, bishops and cardinals. The pontiff then travelled in the popemobile to the presidential palace, waving to thousands of faithful lining the streets. Pope Leo is expected to visit the towns of Muxima and Saurimo after arriving in Luanda for a four-day stay in Angola, with key events including an airport welcoming ceremony, a meeting with the president as well as efforts to promote regional peace dialogue. The historic 10-day apostolic journey began in Algeria on April 13 and is due to continue in Angola and Equatorial Guinea through April 23."
