Centre’s potato procurement price is just half of input cost, allege farmers’ bodies

While the Union Agriculture Ministry on Saturday approved procurement at ₹6.5 per kg, a farmer leader says input cost itself is ₹12 per kg. A farmer can make at least a small profit only if the price is at least ₹15 per kg, he says.
