There's no hiding for Keir Starmer in the Peter Mandelson catastrophe, says Nana Akua

Given what we already knew about Peter Mandelson and what the Prime Minister had been briefed before his appointment, you would think that that alone would disqualify Peter from the job. But instead we find ourselves in a position where people are being thrown under the bus left, right and centre and minister after minister, MP after MP being forced to justify and explain decisions made by this Government. And frankly, many are fed up. It has come to a point where MPs are openly expressing their displeasure in saying one thing one day and then changing it the next. But there's one man who will literally say anything. TRENDING Stories Videos Your Say Darren Jones, one man time and time again who comes out to defend the Prime Minister. One man the Prime Minister can repeatedly rely on, so much so that the Prime Minister made up a title for him. Only today, it wasn't him. I suspect, because on this occasion even Darren Jones was struggling. But there's no hiding for the Prime Minister. He will, of course, try and squirm out of this one and blame the whole Mandelson appointment catastrophe on the system.
