Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday. DPM Dar emphasised the need for continued dialogue and engagement as essential to resolving the current issues as soon as possible for promoting the peace and stability in the region and beyond. Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact and also concurred on a phone call between the president of Iran and the prime minister of Pakistan, later on Sunday. Separately, Pakistan and Egypt have expressed hope for a successful next round of talks between Iran and the United States for achieving durable peace in the region and beyond. This came during a telephonic conversation between FM Dar and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty today. During the conversation, they discussed key developments in the regional situation, including the situation in the Gaza Strip. The deputy prime minister emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing all issues, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and constructive engagement. Both leaders also agreed to remain in contact.
