EMB-7: Monterrazas meets flood control rules, but long-term maintenance under watch

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Authorities have lifted the suspension order on the Monterrazas de Cebu development, but regulators stressed that sustained maintenance and monitoring will determine whether newly built flood control systems remain effective. The Environmental Management Bureau in Central Visayas (EMB-7) confirmed that the project may resume after developer Mont Property Group complied with requirements under its Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC).
