TACLOBAN CITY — The Commission on Higher Education (ChEd) in Eastern Visayas has confirmed that several private higher education institutions in the region have filed applications for tuition and other fee increases ahead of the upcoming enrollment period. However, ChEd regional director Maximo Aljibe appealed to school administrators to consider deferring any planned increases, citing the current economic situation affecting students and families. “We have received several applications from higher education institutions for tuition fee increases.
