A massive 7.5 magnitude earthquake has rocked Japan, sparking mass evacuations and tsunami warnings. The tremors were felt as far as Tokyo with the earthquake being detected just off the coast of Hokkaido in the north east. Japan Meteorological Society confirmed a premlinary magnitude of 7.9. The quake hit a depth of 10km in water around 100km off the Sanriku coast. With a tsunami being detected 60km off the coast of Iwate, people have been instructed to "evacuate immediately" while they expect a tsunami to soon hit the coast. MORE TO FOLLOW...
