Hi, Tech! China features latest innovations at Shenzen's Robot Valley

"China featured its latest tech innovations at Shenzhen's Silicon Valley of Robotics, also known as Robot Valley, during an international media tour on Wednesday. Footage shows robots performing tea-making activities, a robotic hand holding a tennis ball, and another robot using a coffee machine. A range of mini transformer robots is also seen in motion. "On a broader scale, Guangdong, Shenzhen, and indeed all of China offer a wealth of diverse and rich application scenarios. On the one hand, this provides excellent conditions for scientific research. On the other hand, it creates demand for industrial development," Yunxing Wang, Director of the Public Economics Research Department at the China Development Institute, said. "Therefore, with demand, application scenarios, technology, an ecosystem, and talent all in place," he continued. According to Wang, the area is highly market-oriented, with many robotics companies present, hence it is dubbed 'Robotics Valley.' "The researchers can conduct experiments based on professors’ findings in the morning, test application products on-site in the afternoon, and then return to the lab for R&D," he added. This vibrant zone is home to over 1,000 robotics firms spanning the entire value chain, including more than 30 core robotics companies and countless hardware startups. Key anchor companies, including DJI (Dajiang Innovation), UBTECH Robotics, ZTE Corporation, and Anker Innovations, are among the largest and most influential players within this dynamic corridor."
