"The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) hosted the fourth edition of the InnoEX 2026 technology exhibition, drawing global attention to the latest innovations. Footage captured on Thursday shows the final day of the four-day event, themed 'Innovate - Automate - Elevate', where visitors watched lifelike machines walk, gesture and even play musical instruments. Heavyweights from China's robotics and digital infrastructure sectors presented a diverse range of technologies, from quadruped robots to semi-humanoid industrial arms and futuristic flying cars. "Hong Kong and China is a leader in AI, advanced manufacturing renewable energy. Innovation today is global and interconnected. Hong Kong stands for this too, a global hub for technology and business," explained Dr Gerd Muller, Director General of United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, who further praised the territory's roles in advancing technologies and contributing to global supply chains. Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the HKSAR Government Sun Dong also underlined the authorities' commitment to 'promoting global innovation and technology development' via the innovative exhibition. Multiple domestic and international participants also drew attention with AI-powered management systems, advanced industrial innovations and other groundbreaking introductions across emerging sectors. According to local media, up to 550 exhibitors from 21 countries took part in the extensive event, which ran from April 13-16 at the HKCEC. The exhibition was jointly organised by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council."
