MANILA, Philippines — Easterlies will continue to bring hot and humid weather with chances of isolated thunderstorms across the country on Tuesday, the state weather bureau said. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, are affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. “Hot and humid conditions will persist from morning until noon, with the chances of localized thunderstorms increasing by the afternoon,” weather specialist Veronica Torres said in Pagasa’s latest briefing.
