Assam court convicts 20, acquits 25 in mob lynching case of Nilotpal Das and Abhijit Nath

A Nagaon District and Sessions Court convicted 20 out of 45 accused in the 2018 mob lynching of Nilotpal Das and Abhijit Nath. The court acquitted 25 others, a decision met with dissatisfaction by the victims' families who are seeking the strictest punishment. The sentencing for the convicted is scheduled for April 24.
