MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck parts of Aurora and nearby provinces early Tuesday, April 21, with the strongest shaking reported at Intensity IV in Dinalungan, state volcanologists said. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the quake was tectonic in origin and was traced 12 kilometers northwest (N 87° W) of Dinalungan, Aurora, at a depth of 21 kilometers.
