MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte should attend Wednesday’s impeachment hearing and take her oath if she wants to counter the allegations against her, Deputy Speaker Paolo Ortega V said on Tuesday. He also said Duterte should directly respond to the accusations being made against her in the proceedings instead of skipping the hearings and relying on public statements to dispel allegations of wrongdoing, specifically those made by confessed “bagman” Ramil Madriaga.
