Lee Anderson has been fiercely defended by Carole Malone after being thrown out of the House of Commons on Monday. Speaking on GB News, the broadcaster threw her support behind the Reform MP after he was ordered to leave the House by Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle. Following Sir Keir Starmer's statement to MPs on the scandal surrounding Lord Peter Mandelson, Mr Anderson accused the Prime Minister of "lying" to the public and Parliament. Mr Anderson said: "The problem is no one believes him. The public don't believe him. The MPs on this side of the House don't believe him. His own gullible backbenchers don't believe him. TRENDING Stories Videos Your Say "So does the Prime Minister agree with me, he's been lying?" Interjecting Mr Anderson, Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle scolded the Reform MP's use of language and questioned whether he would "withdraw" his statement. The Reform MP doubled down on his remark, telling the House: "Mr Speaker, I have the greatest respect for you in your office, but I will not withdraw. That man couldn't lie straight in bed!" Reacting to the ejection, Ms Malone told GB News that the altercation between Mr Anderson and the Speaker was "astonishing". She said: "Lee Anderson got it right when he said that the public doesn't believe a word he says anymore, Parliament doesn't believe a word he says anymore, but importantly, his own backbenchers, his own party doesn't believe what he says anymore. "I loved Lee Anderson's quote where he said 'the man can't lie straight in bed', and it's absolutely true, and it's what the country believes." Ms Malone questioned why the Reform MP was scolded for suggesting the Prime Minister was lying when "everyone else in the chamber also believes it". She argued: "The fact he was chucked out of the Chamber for saying that - why can't you say someone has lied, of everyone else in the chamber believes that to be the case? What's important is what he's done and what he's said and what he didn't say. "Because if he didn't know what was happening, he damn well should have done because he's the Prime Minister. And to use that as an excuse and to actually shaft every single senior person who works for him is beyond contempt." In a scathing takedown of Sir Keir, Ms Malone told GB News the Prime Minister is the "most dishonest" leader the country has ever had. She fumed: "Has there ever been a more devious, dishonest Government in this history, led by the most dishonest, immoral PM that I can remember in living memory, and today just showed exactly what he is. "And it's incredible. He has no credibility left, not a shred of plausibility left. So whatever he says from now, no one's going to take any notes. They're going to think he lies about everything. He's a weasel and he's a coward." Weighing in on the discussion, former Conservative Party Chairman Sir Jake Berry criticised Sir Keir for making the task of "saving his job" the top priority over both international and domestic issues. He concluded: "The really depressing thing is we're on the verge of World War III, and Keir Starmer's full-time job now is saving Keir Starmer's job. "And the challenge is, while he's focused on doing that, what's he doing about Iran? What's he doing about the quarter million people who are potentially going to lose their jobs because of this oil price shock? "What's he doing about building up our armed forces? What's he doing about the tube strike in London the next few days? The NHS crisis? Nothing. He's fighting full-time to save his job, and that's bad for Britain."
