Second maternity leave can't be denied merely because sought within 2 years of first: Allahabad HC

The Allahabad High Court ruled a second maternity leave cannot be denied within two years, stating the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 overrides financial handbook rules. It set aside the rejection of Manisha Yadav’s plea and directed authorities to grant her leave from April to October 2026.
