"Pope Leo XIV urged politics aimed at peace and for the common good as he arrived in Equatorial Guinea on the final stop of his African tour on Tuesday. "In a world wounded by arrogance, people are hungry and thirsty for justice. We must value those who believe in peace and dare to implement policies that go against the tide, focused on the common good," the pontiff said in a speech in Malabo. Footage shows him arriving by plane and being greeted by Equatorial Guinea's president Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, screaming citizens and a military orchestra. He was then seen attending several events and meetings with the president. The visit marked the fourth African country on Leo's tour, which began on April 13 and also included Algeria, Cameroon, and Angola."
