"Two Palestinians were killed and four others wounded on Tuesday in an attack carried out by Israeli settlers on a boys’ school in the town of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. Footage shows mourners loading the body of a victim into an ambulance while chanting, as families and friends gathered to bid farewell. Relative Yousef al-Na’asan described the attack as a ‘massacre’, noting that the village has faced repeated assaults for years due to its proximity to Israeli settlements. Activist Ayed Ghafri said the attack is part of a broader policy in the West Bank aimed at forcing Palestinians from their homes through pressure and intimidation. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that two people were killed, including a 13-year-old child, and four others were injured by live ammunition, before being transported to hospital. Palestinian media cited an eyewitness in saying that the school was attacked by settlers who opened fire from about 50 metres away, targeting classroom windows and balconies, injuring several people, including one with a head wound. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the attack in a statement, calling for urgent international action to halt such violations. The Speaker of the Palestinian National Council, Ruhi Fattouh, described the incident as a “dangerous and bloody escalation.” In recent months, violence by settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank has intensified. Both Israeli President Isaac Herzog and IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir have condemned such attacks, describing them as “crossing red lines.” "
