PAA extends airspace ban for Indian aircraft until May 24

KARACHI: Pakistan has extended its airspace restriction to all Indian-registered aircraft until May 24, 2026. According to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA), this restriction will now remain in effect until 4:59 am on May 24. It further stated that Pakistani airspace remains completely unavailable to all Indian-registered aircraft, as well as any aircraft owned, operated, or leased by Indian airlines or operators, including military flights. The closure applies across the full vertical extent of Pakistani airspace, from ground level to unlimited altitude, and covers the country’s two primary Flight Information Regions - Karachi (OPKR) and Lahore (OPLR).
