LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Taal Volcano recorded a minor phreatic eruption, along with four volcanic earthquakes and two tremors, over the past 24 hours, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported on Wednesday. The eruption, locally referred to as “pusngat,” occurred at 7:10 p.m. and lasted for about one minute. It generated a plume rising approximately 100 meters, as captured by the main crater’s IP camera, PHIVOLCS said in its morning bulletin.
